Leadership

Church & Family: Claude Wiggins has served as the pastor at Beth Eden since April 2020. He and his wife, Lynn, have been actively involved in vocational ministry for four decades. Pastor and Lynn met each other in high school while serving as summer staff at a church camp. They are blessed to have three adult children and four grandchildren. Pastor and Lynn live on a farm in nearby Ashby.
Hobbies & Service: Pastor loves music, reading, and everything about the great outdoors. He has climbed Mt. Washington, as well as several local summits. He also loves hiking, snowshoeing, and canoeing. His passions in ministry over the years have included training church teachers and helping to train and support other ministers. He has also served as a police chaplain.
Previous Experience & Education: Prior to his ministry at Beth Eden, Pastor Wiggins had served as a pastor at several churches in Michigan and Virginia (1984-2000, 2014-2018), as well as Assistant to the President at Detroit Baptist Theological Seminary (2001-2014). His formal academic preparation includes several degrees from Bible college (B.A.) and seminary (M.Div., D.Min.).

Patty Cordio, along with her husband, Brandon, has been a member at Beth Eden since 2016. She has served as the church secretary since 2021. Besides all her official secretarial duties, Patty is active in many other aspects of church life and ministry. She is part of the ladies ministry leadership team, actively coordinates special music, and plays both piano and organ (not at the same time!). Patty currently serves as our Church Clerk. She loves horses and is our resident chicken-raising expert.

David has been a member here since 1986, and has served as a deacon for over 25 years. He has a special ministry focus on music, leading our congregational singing and helping with special music. He also serves in the area of adult education. David has also worked actively in children's ministry over the years. He is happily married to Becky and has three adult children and three grandchildren. In his spare time, David enjoys riding his motorcycle and trying to improve his golf game.

Bob has been a member here since 1983, and has served as a deacon for over 30 years. Bob's ministry focus is on all things I.T. He works with technology in support of all our services, as well as outwardly focused applications like YouTube. Bob and his wife, Judi, have one adult child, Micah. Bob collects antique mechanical puzzles and is an avid fan of Old Time Radio.

Steve has been a member here for 30 years, and has served as a deacon for 6 years. Steve's ministry focus is helping with the ushers, greeting, and serving as our Assistant Treasurer. He also helps with our food distribution ministry and maintaining our church van. Steve and his late-wife, Donna, have two children and one grandchild.

Brandon is a Fitchburg native who first came to this church as a child and continued to attend through high school. After graduating from Bob Jones University, and serving on staff there for several years, He and his wife, Patty, returned to the area and Beth Eden in 2016. Brandon has been very active in many areas of ministry over the years, including youth ministry. He has been a deacon here since 2022. One of his primary responsibilities is overseeing building safety and security. 

Our Treasurer is Todd Anderson. Todd grew up here at Beth Eden and has been a member of the church for forty years. He has served as treasurer since 2010, also serving as Assistant Treasurer for 13 years prior to that. Todd and his wife, Heidi, have two adult children.
