Children

Children's Church is offered on Sunday during the morning worship service. It is currently available for children age 4 through 4th grade. The children attend the first part of the service with their parent(s) or adult guardian, then are dismissed on the last congregational song to begin their own age-appropriate lesson and activities downstairs. Our Children's Church director is Lynn Wiggins. Assistant teachers and teacher's helpers support her in working with the children. The curriculum foundation currently used is It's Grow Time! produced by Regular Baptist Press.

Our church has a serious commitment to providing opportunities for children and teens to attend Christian summer camp. We partner with The Wilds of New England, located in Deering, NH, for Junior Camp (age 9 or going into grades 4-7) and Teen Camp (7th-12th grades). You can download a printable copy of the TWNE 2024 summer camp brochure. To assist families with sending kids to summer camp, our church maintains a Camp Fund. Each year we coordinate financial support to make Christian Summer Camp a reality for young people with whom we have regular contact. We also coordinate transportation to and from camp for the weeks selected for participation. The Wilds of New England also provides a number of fall retreats for other groups (e.g., senior adult outing, men's retreat, ladies retreat, men & boys retreat, ladies & girls retreat, couples retreat, etc.).

Our 2023 VBS program will be held on July 24-28, Mon-Fri 6:00-8:00 pm. It is free of charge for all children ages 4-12.  You can learn more about our VBS program, "Keepers of the Kingdom," and register your child HERE. Each day's program will include a dramatic skit, singing, Bible lesson, game time, craft time, and snack time. There will be separate classes for each age group (Beginner, age 4-5; Primary, gr 1-3; Junior, gr 4-6).  Transportation is available upon request in Fitchburg and the immediate surrounding area. There will be a special family & friends ice cream social at the close of VBS on Friday evening.
