Bible Reading

Bible Reading Plans

This year, we are placing copies of the various reading schedules on the church website so you can access it anytime and anywhere that you have internet access or a digital device with a saved PDF copy. See the two PDF files below.
Three Sections at a Time
  • Old Testament Law, History, Prophets
  • Old Testament Poetry
  • New Testament
Chronological Order
Reading the scriptures in the historical order the events occurred, instead of in the order the various books appear in the English Bible (i.e. topical/thematic). For example: OT Law, History, Poetry, Prophecy; and NT Gospels, Acts, Epistles, Revelation.

YouVersion
This free resource has an online desktop version and mobile apps for both adults and children.
The adult version can be read, or you can listen to the audio. You can set up various Bible reading plans for reading the scripture in a year or a Verse-of-the-Day plan. You can also compare other conservative Bible translations if you have questions to better understand the text of scripture.
The children's version introduces kids to 41 of the “big” Bible stories, the Bible App for Kids helps them understand the overall story that the Bible is telling. Kid-friendly navigation helps them find and select whichever story they want, then reads it aloud to them in a friendly narrative style. Throughout each story, fun, interactive animations keep children engaged, and select stories even include games designed to help them learn, understand, and retain important Bible story concepts.
