Senior adults have certainly made their contributions in church, family, business, and community over many decades. But most seniors, while enjoying their retirement years, are still wanting to be actively engaged in meaningful fellowship and ministry. Here are some of the ways our senior adults are making a difference. For photographs of any recent senior events, take a look at our Photo Gallery.
Lunch at the Lake
This mid-day fellowship takes place every few weeks during the warm-weather months. Seniors gather at the lake for a shared lunch, followed by singing, testimonies, and a brief Bible challenge. Folks are then free to stay around to relax and interact as long as desired.
These Sunday evening, after-church fellowships have been a great blessing to many over the years. Did I mention there is food involved?
Senior Adult Outing
The Senior Adult Outing is an all-day event. It is held at The Wilds of New England, usually in late September. The 2022 date is September 22, and the speaker will be Dr. Jerry Sivnksty. "Senior adults will have an enjoyable time of relaxation, singing, Bible study, laughing, memory sharing, and refreshment during this one-day outing." Check-in begins at 9:00 a.m. The program concludes after dinner at 6:00 p.m. Transportation to and from the outing is provided by the church.
The road may lead far or near. But wherever the trip takes them, there is sure to be a lot of fun and some serious encouragement.
